Borrtex’s Piano Solo Album ‘Coalescence’ Is Out Now

Borrtex’s Piano Solo Album ‘Coalescence’ Is Out Now

Young soundtrack composer Borrtex from Czech Republic, known mostly for his ambient and orchestral compositions, presents his new piano solo album titled Coalescence. The album has 15 track titles and has already been streamed over 30,000 times on Spotify in the first week of the release. Easy melodies played by gentle piano instrument make the whole album sound very minimalistic.

Not really scoring any mainstream films or TV projects, Borrtex has found his passion in music production itself. This interesting approach is also a very good way to get licensing inquires and music placements in television commercials. As of now, Borrtex’s work is one of the most downloaded on licensing platforms such as Artlist.io or Jamendo. He has a decent fanbase on music streaming platforms, having over two million streams on Spotify and thousands of sells on iTunes.

Original Soundtrack album Music For GaryVee released in February, 2019 gained a lot of popularity as the music was later on featured on DailyVee episodes of an online show managed by 3X New York Times best selling author and entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk.

We are very excited to see what Borrtex brings in the future. He might continue composing music and releasing it as an independent artist, but we hope to see him in more popular film projects and international soundtrack gigs world-wide.

Swedish Composer Peter Sandberg Releases ‘Motion’

Swedish Composer Peter Sandberg Releases ‘Motion’

Swedish composer and multi instrumentalist, Peter Sandberg shares new single Motion, the second release to be taken from his eponymously named studio album released February 2019 via ambient and post classical label Phases Records.

Motion is an electro acoustic meditation on changing velocity that invites the listener to surrender to the here and now. The soft pulse that underscores the track evokes the hum and buzz of modern life muted and held at bay as it journeys towards a peace and stillness that Sandberg deftly creates.

Directed by Swedish filmmaker Josua Enblom, the Motion video was shot in a single take and plays with the idea of a dance with camera and light, experimenting with the interplay between tones and the different visuals. It’s a visually rich story that explores the themes of the outer face, inner darker emotion and a richer inner life.

Peter Sandberg is inspired by contemporary neo-classical artists including Hauschka, Johann Johannsson, Max Richter, Metropole Orkest, Nils Frahm, Olafur Arnalds, Peter Broderick, Philip Glass and Dustin O’Halloran and through his music, he has composed a soundtrack to the dizzying narrative of modern life, having crafted an international reputation creating music for television and commercials from the digital immediacy of Netflix and the acceleration of Volvo and Tesla. He has amassed over 150 million Spotify streams from his earlier catalogue, including fan favourites Remove The Complexities and Balm.

His new studio album Motion is a more exploratory work, predominantly piano based, featuring guitars, synthesisers and “all kinds of fretted instruments”. From his studio in Uppsala, Peter Sandberg creates compositions that are steeped in their own rich atmosphere, vivid, hushed and contemplative. Yet they are informed by a restlessness of spirit that saw the artist take up the piano, aged twelve, and finally find a way to channel the “undrainable source of energy” that had earned him the label of a problematic child. This ADHD was channelled into hyperfocus, slowing things down towards a meditative stillness that turns the music towards the ambient and textural. Today, Peter Sandberg’s restlessness is in the service of his constant evolution as a musician and composer, whether it’s experimenting with his new Una Corda piano, or realising his goal of mastering the violin.
